If the mattress is obsolete, use commercial cleaner foam materials, or mix 1 / 2 teaspoon liquid dishwashing detergent in one liter of warm water. Whip it with an egg beater to get the foam and apply soapy water with a sponge or soft brush, without soaking the mattress.
Make the bed as soon as you get up. This alone can transform the bedroom. You might have to rethink your bedding so this is possible. We use a fitted sheet and a duvet with a cover. A few quick shakes and we’re done.
